If it wasn't enough that Hollywood heavyweight proved himself one of the greatest actors of our times in feature films such as Jurassic Park, The Fly, and Independence Day, as well as the master of resulting memes thereafter, the multi-talented maestro has also been tickling the ivories with the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra at the Rockwell club in Los Angeles, a weekly residency that came about after he took his love of jazz to the stage in the mid-1990s. Jeff is hitting the road this year, so don't miss the chance to see the 'Blum bloom on stage with the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra
A pet project of jazz pianist Scott Bradlee, Postmodern Jukebox gained a loyal following through their Youtube channel. The collective cover modern pop tracks (and some old classics as well) in a big band style. Everyone from Miley Cyrus to TLC has got the Postmodern Jukebox treatment, and now they're bringing their retro stylings to you!
The music of King Crimson is celebrated by a group of musicians that are less "tribute band" more "supergroup"! Legendary guitarist Steve Vai and Tool drummer Danney Carey join former King Crimson members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin to tour a show performing the best bits from the legendary prog-rockers' three 1980s entries, Discipline, Beat and Three of a Perfect Pair... plus potentially a few surprises!
Jesus "Aguaje" Ramos, original trombonist of the legendary Cuban outfit Buena Vista Social Club, leads an ensemble including three fellow original Club members for a tour of North America this fall! Along with pianist Emilio Senon Morales Ruiz, percussionist "Betun" Luis Mariano Valiente Marin and bassist Fabian Garcia, the famed latin-jazz combination from Havana bring you the music that made the world famous BVSC the biggest selling Cuban band in history.
The world's top-selling instrumental artist Chris Botti has charm and talent in spades; the Italian American contemporary jazz trumpeter breathes new life into a range of different genres from American songbook standards to bebop classics by the likes of Miles Davis. Botti is not only a highly skilled musician but a consummate entertainer, with a gleam in his eye his onstage banter calls to mind the performers of jazz's golden age.
The Avett Brothers are a non-traditional bluegrass band that originated in Concord, North Carolina. The two brothers, Seth and Scott, formed the group after the breakup of the former rock band, Nemo, adding a third member, Bob Crawford. Don't miss them live on the road this year as they bring their awesome sound to you!
